CREATIVE DIRECTOR
2020–CURRENTMy earliest interactions with Dark Dazey took place in my detached garage in early 2020. Moments before the world shut down, my housemate asked if I would shoot and edit a live performance of his band in our thrown-together recording studio (née Garage). I was blown away by the band’s talent and sheer will to create.

A couple more visualizers and one global pandemic down the line, I joined the band as both a recording/touring member and as the creative director, serving to steer the superabundance of experimental expression the bandmates effortlessly exude.

The band’s collective creative engine is nuclear — my role is to synthesize the myriad impulses offered up by the group and churn out a cohesive, intriguing vision that’s equal parts robust and chameleonic. I also make a lot of posters.

Creating in the world of Dark Dazey is, above all else, outrageously fun. I can’t think of four other humans that would just as quickly heed my suggestion to dress up in thermal-resistant mylar suits as an Interdimensional Containment Crew as they would star alongside a puppet lizard in a fictionalized children’s show produced by the Dark Dazey Friendship Corp ®©☺™.
